Refund and Return Policy

At Jeel.mv (operated by H&D Enterprises Pvt. Ltd.), we are committed to providing our customers with a secure, reliable, and fair shopping experience. While we strive to ensure every order is fulfilled correctly, we recognize that exceptional circumstances may require a return, refund, or exchange.

This Policy sets out the conditions, procedures, and limitations governing returns. By placing an order on Jeel.mv, you agree to abide by the terms below.

1. VALIDITY OF RETURN

a. Eligibility Based on Timeframe

  • Customers must notify Jeel.mv within 24 hours of delivery if they wish to return an item due to one of the eligible reasons listed under section 1.d.
  • After 24 hours, items may still be returned only if the customer pays return shipping charges and provided the item meets all other requirements.
  • Sellers may provide an extended return window for "Return by Customer’s Own Interest" (see section 1.e). Such timeframes will be displayed on each product page and order summary page.

b. Delivery Location

  • Returns are only accepted for items delivered within the Maldives.
  • Items delivered to international destinations are strictly not eligible for return, refund, or exchange.

c. Condition of Returned Items

All items returned must:

  • Be unused (unless the return is due to damage/defect upon delivery).
  • Be in original packaging, complete with all accessories, manuals, and free gifts.
  • Have all tags and labels intact.
  • Be in sealed condition (for items that are originally sealed, except when inspection requires opening).
  • Not show signs of use, mishandling, modification, or poor storage. Customers may return items at no cost if:

d. Eligible Reasons for Return (Within 24 Hours, Free of Charge)

Customers may return items at no cost if:

  • Damaged Item – product damaged upon delivery.
  • Defective Item – manufacturing defect or functional issues.
  • Incorrect Size – wrong size delivered compared to order.
  • Not as Advertised – product does not match description or images on Jeel.mv.
  • Wrong Item – incorrect product delivered.
  • Missing Parts/Item – order delivered incomplete. In these cases, Jeel.mv will cover all return logistics charges.

e. Return by Customer’s Own Interest

  • Customers may return items for personal reasons not listed above (e.g., change of mind, color preference).
  • Such returns will be permitted within the timeframe declared by the seller on each product page and order page.
  • Customer must pay full return shipping charges.
  • Such items must meet all conditions in 1.c (unused, intact, complete).

f. Items Not Eligible for Return

  • Items returned after expiry of declared timeframe.
  • Items missing packaging, tags, labels, free gifts, or accessories.
  • Items damaged due to customer use, mishandling, tampering, or poor storage.
  • Perishable, consumable, or hygiene products (e.g., food, cosmetics, undergarments, opened electronics) once unsealed.
  • Items shipped to international destinations.
  • Items that were delivered as replacements for previous returns.
  • Customized or personalized products (unless defective/damaged on arrival).

2. RETURN SHIPPING PAYMENT

  • If Jeel.mv is at fault (reasons in 1.d): Jeel.mv will bear 100% of the return shipping charges via its official logistics service.
  • If return is due to customer’s personal choice (1.e) or beyond 24 hours: Customer must pay full return shipping charges.
  • All returns must be shipped only via Jeel.mv’s official logistics network for proper tracking, handling, and inspection. Unauthorized returns via other couriers will not be accepted.

3. PHYSICAL INSPECTION & VERIFICATION

  • All returns undergo strict physical inspection at Jeel.mv’s inspection facility.
  • Inspection covers: condition of packaging, usage signs, product authenticity, tampering, and eligibility compliance.
  • Returns that fail to meet this Policy will be rejected.
  • If rejected, customer will be notified and must collect item within 14 days at their own cost.
  • Uncollected items after 14 days may be disposed of or recycled by Jeel.mv without liability.
  • Jeel.mv reserves the right to photograph and document returned items for record-keeping and dispute resolution.

4. REFUNDS AND REIMBURSEMENTS

a. Types of Reimbursements

  • Replacement – same product (if available in stock).
  • Refund – money returned through approved methods.

b. Processing Timeline

  • Refunds/replacements are initiated only after inspection approval.
  • Typical processing: 5–10 working days. Certain cases may require more time depending on banks, suppliers, or logistics.
  • Processing time may vary depending on banks, payment gateways, and the type of return.

c. Refund Methods

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used during purchase.

  • Bank Deposit – directly into Bank of Maldives (BML) account.
  • Cash Collection – from designated Jeel.mv counters.
  • Card Refunds – for card payments, refund will be credited to same card (subject to bank/billing cycle).

d. Shipping Charges

  • If Jeel.mv is at fault (section 1.d): original shipping charges will also be refunded.
  • If return is customer’s choice or beyond 24-hour free return period: shipping charges are non-refundable.

e. Exchanges

  • Replacement will only be shipped after returned item passes inspection.
  • If replacement unavailable, refund will be issued instead.

5. MISUSE AND FRAUD PREVENTION

To protect both sellers and customers, Jeel.mv enforces strict anti-fraud rules:

  • Items without packaging, tags, or accessories will be rejected outright.
  • Customers repeatedly claiming “wrong item/defective item” may face account suspension.
  • Items showing intentional damage, tampering, or misuse will not qualify for return.
  • Jeel.mv reserves the right to blacklist or suspend customers engaged in fraudulent return behavior.
  • Legal action may be taken in cases of intentional fraud.

6. SELLER RESPONSIBILITY

  • Sellers must clearly state return validity periods for “Customer’s Own Interest” returns on product pages.
  • Sellers are responsible for accurate product descriptions and photos to prevent disputes.
  • If seller fails to provide correct information leading to “Not as Advertised” claims, Jeel.mv may charge return costs to the seller.

7. GOVERNING LAW

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Maldives.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Maldives.
